I was 3 (1971) the first insulin I started on I became immune to it so started on a different one. In 2004 I got my first pump after a 7month hospital stay and going on life support. I was a pretty lucky child as in my parents made sure I had what ever I needed to make living with T1 easier. I was privileged to go to a diabetic camp at the age of 8 and from that time on I was able to do a lot more cause I learned how to control it. I have one living son, and a baby that passed away. I am now enjoying my 1 year old grandson.

Hi Kerry, Those who have been recently diagnosed don't realize how different things used to be. I'm so happy you have a grandbaby. Mine just turned 3. May God continue to bless you as you move forward in your life's journey.

I used a Bioenergetic Intolerance Elimination (BIE) practitioner from Valley City ND for my insulin immunity and they helped. I'm no health freak either I just needed help
