hello I am a single mother of three on food stamps,who just found out I have diabetes I have no money to get the glucose meter and the test strips or the things you poke yo if somebody able to help m?

Sorry to here BUT if you are Type1 and your doctor will not right you a script or send you to another doctor no matter if you have no money or not. That sounds like a case for a lawyer. If you are Type1 you NEED insulin to live. We all do. Go to the county.

At the beginning of this conversation you mentioned that you are type 1. Type 2 makes a big difference. Way more treatment options.

Walmart has a meter Relion for under $15 and strips are under $10 for 50, dual packs are also available for under $20 that is for a hundred. I've been using those as I test four times a day. Try it.
