How do u guys correct before going to sleep? For example im 192 now about to go to sleep. Im using novoRapid and lantus and it always scares me to correct before bed so i wont get a hypo while sleeping

try and error.how do you wake up in the morning ? high too? then may start correcting minimum(1novorapid) and write down everything. if you not sure ask your doctor.

when im up im fine . im taking lantus 18 units once a day. i just had a meal 3 hours ago and was wrong with counting the carbs thats why i got to 192. im going to sleep and im just not sure how to correct without waking up with a hypo... ill update in the morning wish me luck 👍

i use humalog. if i put one unit it goes down 30! but dont rely on that everybody is different! you can also correct and put an alarm later that night ;-) good luck

that's what's hard about injections. with a pump it does the calculations. sounds like you did it perfect this time tho

have you considered asking your doctor about a continuous glucose monitor?? I have the dexcom and every time I get low or high an alarm sounds, it has helped me many nights when I have gotten low!

Normally they say 1/3 of your regular dose at night. But each T1 reacts differently, some are more resistant, others drop like a rock. Right now DD is more resistant so I give her almost a full correction. Talk to me tomorrow and it may be different.
