just curious what other people keep in their cars for possible reactions. I tried glucose tabs but they go bad in summer heat. Now I use fruit wraps.

I pack my lunch daily and I try to make things that won't require a cooler or lunchbox. I make pbj with pb on both sides of the bread so it doesn't get mushy and usually carry a fruit like grapes, blueberries, or apple slices in 2 tbsp of oj ( so it doesn't brown)

I carry skittles with me wherever I go.

Chocolate isn't good because of the fat content making them lower in GI. I carry jelly beans with me everywhere. At worst they stick together a little in the heat. I live in QLD Australia so always pretty warm

Megan I carry Smarties, a candy that is like a small glucose tab or a sweet tart candies, they travel well because they don't stick together but I keep jelly beans or Mike-n-Ike's at home.

Lol, I tried to post a photo of them but it won't let me. These are small round sweet tart type candies, easily chewable.

Smarties... They do get oddly discolored when you leave them in the heat (locked car in the summer) for extended periods of time but they still work fine.

Runner's gels are great and seem to last a while. Honey packets from restaurants are also good. I keep sugar in the raw when it's dicey with weather.

Get the 8oz little plastic cokes bottles. Fill and refill them with Walmart's Orangette soda (84¢ for a big bottle). It tastes ok hot (Texas heat!!!), it doesn't go bad, and 1/2 of one is 4 oz of sugar....just enough to bring me back up fast. I keep a box of them in the front passenger floorboard.

Smarties are good too...but the Orangette soda works really fast....and it's measured...so you won't rebound to a high.
