just curious what other people keep in their cars for possible reactions. I tried glucose tabs but they go bad in summer heat. Now I use fruit wraps.

The candy "Smarties" are basically the same as glucose tabs, but they don't go bad in the car( again it may depend where you live and how hot it gets) each pack of smarties has 6 carbs, if you have 3-4 packs when your sugar is too low, it will bring you up enough to get some other carbs in you like

Ones in England are kind of like m&m's in U.S.

You can buy them at just about any store, including CVS, Walgreen, grocery stores, they are just small sweet tart candies, like a smaller version of a glucose tab.

When your sugar is too low the best things to bring it up right away is candy, juice, non-diet pop, chocolate does not work as well. My Endocrinologist does not recommend using chocolate.

I use nerds lol hehe cause they're also delicious. I buy those 1.65 oz ones & eat half of them or all of it depending of the low 😊

I don't buy chocolate at all - that's why I asked coz in England there are chocolate candy things called smarties😀 - what ever stuff they use in diet pop isn't supposed to be good.

Juice boxes. But I carry a ziploc bag of soft candies. Some you need 3-4 candies to make 15 carbs. Easy. To get and easy to eat! But I also carry bananas for snacks and graham crackers, etc.
