We help specialty patients and their caregivers simplify their treatment journeys by delivering the information and support they need, when they need it, and through the mobile channel(s) that best suits them.

Our Origin Story

Our founders, Yishai Knobel and Shlomi Aflalo, founded HelpAround in 2013 with the shared goal of helping people with chronic illnesses navigate their lives on-the-go. Each had a close connection to someone living with a chronic condition, and deeply understood the emotional, physical and logistical challenges of navigating life after a difficult diagnosis.

With their respective backgrounds in HealthTech and behavioral targeting, they conceived of a location-based diabetes safety net and created the first peer-supported helparound network.

But Yishai and Shlomi didn’t stop there. What started as one of the first mobile communities for people with diabetes quickly skyrocketed in popularity across diseases.

Today, HelpAround is a mobile platform that, together with its partners, serves specialty patients across a wide range of therapies.

By working closely with specialty pharma brands, patient hubs, patient support programs, specialty pharmacies and other healthcare partners, we simplify the specialty patient experience—through onboarding and beyond.
