My husband has Neuropathy & took Lyrica for a while, but it's a narcotic and made him "loopy". My Endo suggested he try Cymbalta. Works way better. Ask you Doc about it.

Cymbalta is classified as an antidepressant, but has secondary use for the control of neuropathological pain. My hubby likes using it much better than Lyrica.

I have been a type one for 25 years. Have recently been put on NEURONTIN for my foot pain. Had a couple of days of dizziness but have have become familiar with the side effects

I have also been t1d for 11 years as of April 28. Recently I've been going numb in my arms and legs when I sit or lay down a certain way. Was this how neuropathy started for you?

I don't remember being numb. Just tired feet after work. Blaming them on my shoes. Got new shoes and the pain would subside for a while than come back.

I take it and it does help. There is also a lotion it also helps.
