where people touched by diabetes help each other.

I would like to vent. This morning I woke up and my bg was 159 at 6:42 am. I corrected and hadn't eaten anything. My Dexcom alerted me that I was rising. I tested at 7:29 am and I was 286. I mentioned this to my husband as he was leaving for work and he said, "aren't you used to this?" That was in characteristic for him to say, but it hit me wrong. Yes, I am used to the unexplainable. I don't obsess over numbers. I take good care of myself. I think numbers and control never get old. This is a 24/7 job. The Dexcom I has helped enormously, but I can never be complacent. Props to all of. We are stronger than we know.

My stepdad used to give me grief because I couldn't "predict" a high or low hours in advance. His argument was "you know you're a diabetic, so you should know when your numbers will be going up or down". This was because he had no idea of how many factors come into play. A couple years ago he was diagnosed with type 2, and now he needs my help almost daily!

**** just a reminder that we shouldn't judge anyone until we walk in their shoes. Let's all type 1's support each other and not judge. Okay, I'll throw in that we shouldn't judge others.

It's okay. To your point****I also get people telling me how to manage my T1. It gets annoying because people just don't understand.. I think my biological dad still thinks I have T1 because of my lifestyle and diet. Though those factors do effect my BG it's not a easy fix how others think.. It's really tiring trying to educate everyone. We really need patience for this disease..
