I just need to vent. My dog died yesterday unexpectedly and I'm devastated. And my blood sugars won't stay up. ugh. But I'm ok tho.

Sorry to hear about your dog, it's horrible when an important part of the family passes. I have lost a few pets in the last couple of years so I feel your pain. Is that him/her?? In your profile picture, gorgeous:)

When my Grandma died my sugars did the same thing. I recommend taking time for yourself and giving yourself time to come to terms with the loss. Big hugs

I am feeling for you right now. It tears a hole right through you and wild blood sugars don't help. So sorry. : / *hugs*

Best wishes. Loosing a pet is very hard. I haven't lost one in my adulthood but I have two that are 13 now:

Make sure to keep eating, this can lead to some hypos!

So sorry to hear.

Eat a little ice cream to celebrate their life. The sugar helps combat the low and the fat in the milk helps stabilize. A sweet treat to celebrate sweet memories. Hugs. We have lost several dogs due to old age, and one was sudden. It is always hard to lose a member of your family.

So sorry for your loss. Losing a loved pet is a hard lesson to learn. I have lost many animals and think of them even decades later. Take care of yourself and focus on the happy times.
