Why are they out of control?

Rancho Cucamonga, CA
Not sure. I eat well and I walk/hike 4 to 8 miles a day. My A1c was 7.6 now it's 8.7. Finally going to see a endo. I fought because I did not want to become insulin dependent.

Looks like I just might end up on insulin.

Insulin is not so bad. I fought it for a very long time. Stupid me

I am 56, and have been type 2 for some time now. I have a nap idea pen in case I spike over 300. Now I have a new device called vgo. It is a small delivery device which gives me 30 units of nova log over a 24 hour day. My sugars range between 140 to 250 in the morning, spike to 300 midday then lower at night. My endo, dr pilocarpio, introduced this to me after I complained of numerous injections.

being on insulin isn't a failure!!!! it's just another form of controlling diabetes and if you get it under control eventually you'll be off insulin!!! I fought going on insulin for longest time - now I'm glad I did
