where people touched by diabetes help each other.

Type 2 diagnosed 6 years ago, 6 weeks ago hit 539 and couldn't get it to go down. After the ER they got it down to 230's; trying to watch what I eat. I cycle between 140 to 260, a1c 13.2.

Are you on insulin? You really must watch your diet and stay away from artificially sweetened foods or added sugars. You have to commit.

Ur right and yes I'm was up to 90 units of lantus and 4 units of novolog. I'm down to 45 units of lantus. A lot has to do with diet and exercise.

How long have you been at that level with the Metformin?

Are you seeing a doctor? 13.2 is dangerously high. I would be concerned for it to be high like that all the time.

Are they sure you are type 2 and not type 1? It sounds like you need to go on a pump or at least regular shots. What's keeping you that high?

It sounds like you progressed from type 2 to type 1. I would let your doctor know. They might need to put you on insulin to help.
