I just started it...along with pump and CGM ...is kinda cool. you can knock down about 50 points QUICKLY...and it doesn't keep dropping...handy addition...

I'm on a pump as well. Do you feel its way easier to keep BG's down?

yeh..you know those times. ..for me mid afternoon..when you want to lower BS but don't want to KEEP dropping... that's when Afrezz is really good. hits in a few minutes...lowers BS..then LEAVES...so you normalize. do you use a CGM also? I track there to make sure not dropping too much but so far works really well

No i'm working on getting a cgm. A quick question though, Would afrezza be used to correct carbs? Like a bolus sort of thing? Or is it certain units at a certain time? The pump would obviously be the long acting insulin with basal.

Afrezza comes in pre measured dosages...either 4 units or 8... so you can't adjust how much you going to take based on carbs. So I am just using it in the middle of the day when I'm not eating just to lower things when they start getting too high. In other words I just use it as a quick correction on as a bolus. The pump is still the far superior way to calculate carbs and insulin ratios and marry them together

I would wait until you get a CGM before you use the Afrezza. That way when you start trending upwards you can do a4 unit inhale and just bring it down and watch the whole thing on the graph

Okay yeah that sounds good. Have you tried using afrezza while having a high bg? Faster results?
