I'm thinking about going off of my pump for a while. I haven't used injections since I was about eight and need a refresher. Is it essential to use a long acting insulin? Other advice is welcome!

I'm on 32. Just because I went through a hard tome with my diabetes end stopped taking my insulin for a while x

They will work out at the hospital from your height and weight and blood sugars how much you need x

Take half in the morning and half at night

Can you inject the rapid acting and long acting insulin together in the same syringe?

No they are in different syringes. If you do it at night best to take your bolus a wee while before lantus. X

I have usually 4-5 depends how often I eat really!
