where people touched by diabetes help each other.

It seems to me that there are support communities and organizations for kids with T1 diabetes, college kids with T1 D, and their parents. Do adults with T1 D not need support?

I've lived in New Jersey for over 20 years. The various JDRF chapters are run by parents for the benefit of their kids. I fund raised for the JDRF for several years but quit after one too many questions about which one of my kids has T1.

Support has been lacking for adult T1D's in so many places that I have lived, so I decided to rake matters in my own hands and start a JDRF Adult T1D group. Sadly, as much as I advertised and pounded the pavement, I just couldn't get enough participants and we are on hiatus . :(

would there be interest in a dedicated T1D Adult-only community on HelpAround?

****I hear you. I joined a local group but it was full of T2D folks. hard to chat insulin pumps, CGMS etc with people who can't relate. the JDRF chapter attempted to start one. I volunteered to help but it went nowhere. not sure what the solution to this might be.
