I'm struggling at meal times... I'm still in the diagnostic process but going by my meter readings I'm pre-diabetic I'm so desperately trying to cross back over to normal that I'm afraid to eat I cry at most meals because I feel like I can't eat anything tonight I made a rice & curry dish for my family I couldn't make myself eat it because I was afraid of the rice.. and curry alone is to spicy & not very good.. I ran to Walmart & got some nuts & a salad & cried the whole time I was eating because I wanted the rice & curry but am to afraid to eat it.. I'm sure this sounds stupid & silly but I'm really struggling.. I'm just so frustrated I didn't have any diabetic issues until after losing 72lbs & everyone keeps telling me to cross back over I just need to lose weight I'm still 45lbs over weight but I was not sick before losing weight in the first place.. I hate everything about this!

You can still eat rice (carbohydrates) but, not more than 1/2 a cup and maybe TWICE a week instead of with every meal.

It's mostly about portion control and eating more green vegetables, less starches (rice, pasta, potatoes). More fibrous foods and eating small portions every 3-4 hours.

I have been doing portion control to lose weight for the better part of a year just not eating that often..

Avoid breads, drink lots of water instead of soda, even diet soda.

Buy a Sodastream system. Makes carbonated water. It helps me drink more water.

I avoid carbonated drinks because my trainer says that it prohibits weight loss

I like flavored water but that's to much sugar I'm sure

This is plain water. Just carbonated. I coists about 37c per liter if you add flavored syrup.
