I don't know the medical answer but since the A1C result is based on 2-3 months Bg's, I would assume that 1 week will not have a notably difference in the A1C result. Remember, sickness is part of life

Hi**** how high? Are you carb counting? Are you in MDI or pump? Do you use a CGM?

I have been over 300. Starting to come down but I now have a major sinus infections and numbers are high 200's. And yes I am carb counting with a pump!

I am just not use to the high numbers for so long since my numbers have been so good leading up to this sickness.

During days of sickness I have found to be of great help to increase the basal rates. Consult your CDE or Endo

**** numbers are information. NEVER look at them as good or bad. The really bad numbers are the ones that you don't know about.

The best way is to add up all the insulin you had the day before and take 10% every 2 hours that's if you have no ketones
