You will get past your fear. I was terrified when I was first diagnosed but I refused to let anyone give me a shot. So I did it myself the first time & that was it. No more fear.. I was 9 years old at the time, now I'm 30 and still at it.. You will be fine! Promise!

The injection hurts less than the blood test to be fair. The injection itself doesn't bother me. I've gotten used to through the shielded needle. It's just the piercing of the skin and looking at the needle that creeps me out! With the shielded needles you just pressed and it just kinda hit you lol - you didn't feel as in control of it. But seriously****the blood test thing hurts worse than the injection.

Sure if I had to do that I probably could do it

Of course you can - it's just getting used to the idea that you have to do it. Once you've got over the mentality of 'I can't do this' and 'I have to do this? With a needle?!?' and once you've done it a few times then it gets easier. Still don't like it but have to suck it up and get on with it lol
