Allow me to actually answer your question:
If you are downloading your blood glucose reading to the OneTouch Reveal web portal then you can reset your meter very simply. As the software expects to see dates in chronological order, if you input a date that is not in the correct order the software will see this as an error. SO.... if you want to reset or clear your meter do the following:
take a blood sugar reading (example-5:30 pm 108 mg/dl) upload this to the onetouch reveal software.
next go to the settings of you meter and change the time and day backwards to a few days/hours (ie: one day earlier @ 2:00pm) turn off meter. now take another BG reading and upload it to the onetouch reveal web portal.
It will tell you that it has detected out of sequence dates and ask if you want to continue to upload the data - select yes.
It will then suggest that you CLEAR your meter of all data.
Click on Clear and your meter is as new with no data on it.
then when you open onetouch reveal it will show a message saying that there is mixed data present. you can click on REMOVE bad data. Now all your uploaded data is still present on your reveal software plus your meter is cleared of all old data.
