Hi. I was recently diagnosed with type 1. I'm in the hospital now because my blood sugar hit extremely high levels.I'm freaking out a bit because I hate needles.if anyone has any ideas, let me know!!!
Feel like the worst m in the world right now! Let my husband take the kids to dinner and a movie, gave my 7 yr old her insulin... 3 hrs later it was at 'high' rechecked and it was at 541! Feel like crap! Didn't calculate her carbs that well! :(
I am w/o humalog right now. I need to know where I can get emergency insulin or if anyone can help out.
How does everyone here normally treat their hypoglycemias? I'm a loyal glucose tab guy, but find I'm in the minority...
I was just diagnosed with type one. I've read a lot on here about pumps. should I be looking into getting one?

Need breakfast ideas that don't spike blood sugars
For those that take insulin with your meals, how do you go about taking it when you're out at a restaurant or other social gatherings? Do you take it out in front of everyone or do you try to find a secluded spot to take it? How does it make you feel when you take it, knowing people are curious?
