probably because it uses the fluids in your body to detect changes in glucose levels instead of blood

Yes, when the cgm is off from your fingerstick, consider compression (the area has been compressed for a while) the pattern looks like a V, rapid drop followed by rapid rise. Hydration status

Hydration status-drink more water, calibrate when the cgm is steady and in your target range when possible. That seems to help accuracy.
