where people touched by diabetes help each other.

I use an insulin pump. If I shower just before putting in a new infusion set, it seems to come off much sooner than if I do not shower first. Why is this? Is this common? Thanks ahead!

Maybe it's because of the soap or body wash product you use...many have different moisturizers in them. if I do a site change after a shower I always alcohol wipe and skin prep first

You could always use medical tape or a bandaid as an extra precaution so it doesn't peel off :)

I had same thing happen to me. Especially with the Dexcom. Sites. I ended up using medical tape. Same thing would happen when I went to the gym and/or jogging 🏃

Buy skin tac. It works wonders! I can literally sit in the tub for an hour and my CGM won't come off.
