where people touched by diabetes help each other.

We're in need of an infusion set for the animus ping. We have some on the way in the mail, but now with the holiday, we won't get it until Tuesday at the earliest (should have been here yesterday or today, so who knows!) I can either replace it when our order comes or trade for other supplies.

Ooh they make you wait until you are almost out before reordering? That's crazy. I use Medtronic so I can't help you. Sorry. I don't understand why they wouldn't overnight them. Do you have lantus or a long acting insulin to use for emergencies. Your ENDO should give you a bottle or 2 in case the pump ever breaks. Good luck

Your endo might have sets also.

We just moved so while switching insurance it took us a while to get everything squared away and ran out one infusion set too soon :/. It was shipped on Monday so I have no idea why it's not here yet. Luckily we do have lantus since we just started the pump a few months ago, so it's not the end of the world. My daughter's just not to thrilled to go back to MDI for a few days. We also don't have a new endo yet, we have an appointment on Thursday.

I have made sets stretch one day extra. Not optimal but it might be an option.

I'm glad she has lantus. And maybe you can try to find other T1's in your area for future emergencies. My lantus expired and my pump broke a few months back. Lucky for me I have 2 neighbors who take lantus and was able to borrow some. Just another bump in the life if a T1.

I was trying to make it stretch, we actually put it in on Tuesday. I was trying to push it to tomorrow, but she was complaining that it was extremely itchy and was irritating her. :( I actually posted on a Facebook page asking how to figure out how much lantus to give her and someone mentioned this app, so I thought I'd give it a try. Pretty awesome! I have a pretty good supply of everything else and hopefully I'll be able to help out others!

We have some contact detach infusion sets (one with the needle not the catheter). We live in Broomfield CO - let me know if you can use them.

It's a bummer the lag on this site. I'm just now seeing your post today. 7-17th. My son uses Medtronic. It's good to know your close by thought if either of us gets into a predicament.
