just curious what other people keep in their cars for possible reactions. I tried glucose tabs but they go bad in summer heat. Now I use fruit wraps.
I hate having diabetes more than anyone will ever know. No one can see it but it rules ur life 24 hours a day
My son was recently diagnosed (2 weeks ago) with T1D... He is 11 and is currently the only child in his K-8 elementary school... Any words of wisdom for a new dad with a son with T1D? Other than, just treat him like you would if he didn't have T1D...
I am in the market for my first insulin pump. I will either chose the Animas Vibe with the Dexcom 4g CGM or the MiniMed 530G with Enlite. Please vote on which you would chose. Thank you!! :)
Checked BS 3 times, both read over 600. Mom won't take me to hospital because they aren't experience with DKA. I have almost all the signs of DKA expect large ketones and vomiting. Only small ketones and a stomach ache. What do I do? I would feel safer at a hospital but mom won't take me!Please Help!
Just a quick question to the type 1 diabetics. How long after a hypo does it take a person to get back to normal. My boyfriend had one 2 weeks ago and I think I'm pushing him a little.
What insulin do the type 1s out there use? I've always used novolog (used to use levemir and novolog before pumping), but curious what others use and why? What's the fastest acting insulin out there?
What do you think about medtronic's pumps!?
Hi everyone, do you have any recommendation? I'm looking for.anyone who has convinced their work to change their benifet plan to cover cgm. any advice or even presentations used would be appreciated.
So i just got a cgm and love it but i was wondering if there is anything i can do to reduce post meal spikes. Ive tried giving insulin 15-60 min before a meal, but still does not help. Any suggestions
