Alpha lipoic acid is an OTC supplement you can find at trader joes. It is clinically proven to work and recommended to me by my Endo. It also gives you energy a nice side effect.

My feet have felt much better since I went low carb and got tight control over my blood sugars. Now anytime I go over 140 my feet start to ache again. ALA will help with blood sugars and insulin resistance too but the best thing you can do for your health is give up carbs.

I understand gabapentin works great. Just remember you need to build up the mg. You should start with 300 mg and build up to 900 mg over a month and that should really help. Need to go to a neurologist though. I'm starting on 6/24

I just had a Lumbar Laminectomy on my 3/4 vertebrae to remove bone spurs that were causing my Neuropathy in my feet. Top Endos running the clinical trials for Afrezza for Pediatric patients told me Diabetes was not the cause of my Neuropathy. Takes a few weeks for nerves to relax and reverse the Neuropathy. Keeping my fingers cross at least my back pain has lessened
