Hi**** I was diagnosed about 6 1/2 years ago, so I'm definitely no expert. If I had one piece of advice for someone newly diagnosed, it would be to not stress too much about your numbers. You'll have good and bad blood sugar days, and as long as you're paying attention to how you feel and checking regularly, you'll be fine. I also highly recommend looking into getting a dexcom. If I had known about it, I would've gotten one years ago!

hi**** i was diagnosed at 17, three years ago, im still new at this too, so i know i still have heaps to learn. but what i have learned and to add on to Sarahs great comment(and it may not work for everyone but if it works for others let me know) i found try as best you can to stick to a consistent routine. i know life can be crazy but to keep my numbers in line i make sure to eat my meals at exactly the same time every day and to have similar quantity of those meals

Thank you so much for the support! You guys are amazing and I love this app so much!!! In the beginning I tried I to have a constant routine but it sort of faded away and I slowly started to wake up late, eat late, and not check my sugar regularly /: do you ever have days were you just want to give up? ):

Oh yes, I've found that once a year or so I go through a couple weeks of diabetes burnout. It's not a bad thing to feel like you need a break. I just always remember that when I'm not taking care of my blood sugar how I should, the only person in hurting is myself

Hi! I am 20 years old and was diagnosed when I was 7. Diabetes can be a pain in the ass sometimes but eventually what it comes down too is acceptance. Let us know if you need help.
