hi**** welcome. I'm not nearby (Chicago) but also type2 on a pump for the past year (Animas Vibe). How are you getting along?

it's going pretty good. it's alot to get used to. I'm on the Medtronic minimed 530g with enlite .

oh yeah. I started with the now defunct Asante Snap, they provided very good training and helped me get the pump set up. Are you using the CGM too? I have the Dexcom. That's been a great help getting settings right.

you should read John Walsh's Pumping Insulin. I'm currently reading Gary Scheiner's Practical CGM.

yeah that's what the enlite is. I'm not sure I'm liking it cause the numbers are not even close when I check my bg. il will have to look for that book when I get off work today

I've heard mixed opinions off the medtronics cgm. I love the Dexcom. How recently did you start? I feel like I'm constantly learning - diagnosed in ####

I have been on the pump for a lil over a month. I'm seriously thinking about changing to the dexcom myself. seems no matter what I do with the Medtronic enlite I can't get the numbers to match. sometimes it can be as much as 40 off. that's alot if i go low and I'm not actually low.

yeah 40pts is a lot. I occasionally have big discrepancies with Dexcom, but usually only on the high end
