Happens to me all the time. I never give myself****reacting insulin at night. A few times, I've gone to bed with my sugar in the 400's and have woken up in the 70's. Depending on my activities during the day, and bedtime snacks. The only times I've had seizures caused by low bs has been when I was waking up in the morning. Rather be high and need a needle in the morning, than siezure at night.

If I go to bed around 100 ish I turn my basal rate down about half way and set it back to normal after 4 or 5 hours my level will rise around 49 50 points then settle back down after I reset it usually a temp basal works on a timer for the night

I am on a pump and mine was going low so the doctor adjusted my basal so I wouldn't go low in the middle of the night try asking his doctor

There are 2 phenomenons you should be aware of. Symogi effect is overnight low then high as the body compensates for the low. This is caused by too much insulin given in the night. The other is called****known for too highs in the morning due to elevated glucose production by the liver.

Completely normal because you are not eating for a prolonged period of time. Maybe include a low GI snack before bed like a glass of milk?

I'd aim for a little bit higher if I was you maybe have a snack to look after the blood sugars while sleeping I have toast and milk! That or lower the dinner time insulin

Yes, I have lows during the night, but it's usually because I didn't eat a snack before bed.
