hello I just found this app as well, I am a mom of a 8 yr old daughter who was dx at age 5 1/2... she is on injections, we tried the omnipod pump, but had major issues with not enough body fat to place it with out occlusions constantly...went back to shots...she says it feels like freedom...sad that she has to think that of shots...

Hi****, We know all about occlusions , we have a good routine for our daughter . Her fav spot is her tummy . But .. We rotate like this ...tummy - buttocks -arm -thigh -thigh -arm- buttocks -tummy . That way each infusion site gets a month to rest . She would get occlusions so easily high sugar problems before we started rotating better .

Sorry not occlusion problems we were having absorption problems , actually we have only had 2 occlusion problems with the mini med pump in the 2 yrs she has been on it . Both times I changed out the infusion / tubing and then it worked fine . Those 2 occlusions we got were both when we were changing out the site , refilled for new reservoir . Hope that helps . Sorry for the confusion . 😊

Hi, mom of a 14 yr old daughter diagnosed 18 months ago. She started on the mini med pump in January and the Enlite(?) CGM a month later. Is this the same one you were talking about**** We have been having problems with the CGM, she loves the pump

Austin, TX
Yes that's the same pump and CGM . Love the pump no problems , never could get the CGM to work right . Really frustrated my daughter :( . I was excited that I would be able to see her BS through the night .

Hi**** My son will be 13 Thursday. Dx at 9 years old. He is on the Medtronic pump and cgm, it will b 2 years pumping in June. we just found this app as well.

Hi**** yes we are having lots of problems. For example, yesterday the CGM kept reporting she was low, in the 40's and every time she tested she was over 100! It is very frustrating! When I talked to the rep from Medtronic they said she needed to calibrate more, but she is doing that.

Oh the REPS... They always seem to be able to explain away the messed up sensor they sold us . :/ even after using 3 different transmitters that they charged us for .. We r going with Dexcom

Hi, I'm a mum of 2, my eldest is almost 10 dx 3 years ago next week. She is on an animas vibe pump and I am hoping to get dexcom for her as she has little hypo awareness and has never woken for a night hypo (I've tested her as low as 1.5 once) but don't think our clinic will fund it as they don't seem overly keen on paying for them! Dexcom would communicate with My daughters pump and I've heard a lot of good stuff about them. Good luck.x
