My daughter is also experiencing high blood sugars for the last 6 months or so. The doctor says that it's hormones and that she would need more insulin for the next few years than she will need the rest of her life. She takes as much as I do. We have also been having an issue with the portion sizes with school lunches. The menu has the carbs counted and that is what she is going by at school. And her blood sugar is sometime really high 2 hours after lunch. I've been getting calls more frequently from school lately. I want to pack her lunch but she likes hot lunches, but that may be what we resort to if I can't get the cafeteria lined out. But she also is bad about not rotating her sights like she should. So that could defiantly play a role. I was diagnosed at age 10 and until I was about 19, blood sugars were very out of control for the most part.
