How do you guys figure out the optimal equipment to use for t1d? A) whatever insurance covers B) don't really think about cost C) what do you mean by optimal equipment (best ban for buck)

Partner with your endocrinologist for recommendations on what is best to help you manage. Insulin pumps are crucial for some, and optional for others. For me I could not live without a pump.

I'm in Australia so I can't really comment but with my health insurance I got my pump for free. Our Diabetic consumables are heavily subsidised. It costs me $30 or so to run my pump per month.

It also costs me $25 for 25 3ml Novorapid vials. (Used to last me a year on shots)

I just get what insurance covers unless it's insulin then I have to get drs to do a medical necessity for it since they want to tell me what insulin I can take
