Hello**** your daily numbers are good if they are about 100, what was your A1c prior to the 7.9? I don't know what Tradjenta is but if it's too expensive ask your Dr to put you on a cheaper pill if the metformin isn't working.

the one before this was 8.0 but I've been around 7.2 before that thanks

how many times do you test per day? If your A1c was 7.9, you're spending a lot of time well above 100, I think.

just once a day before dinner

speak with your doctor, but I believe you can't have any idea what your numbers are (and how your meals are affecting you) unless you test at different times: Before and 2-3 hours after meals, when you wake up, after exercise, before bed. Maybe try mixing up your test times a bit (unless you can get enough strips to test more often)

thanks I've heard that you are supposed to check several times a day. but what should I do with the data like in the morning how can I adjust that number

No simple answer. Adjustments to your diet, exercise, or meds are probably necessary. You will have to work with your medical team, most likely, to get there. Collecting data is a good start.

trujaou. is super concentrated insulin so u need less. my Dr. gives me samples. But there are other cheaper options. I have no insurance and just joined Sanofi plan $10 copay for 3 vials a month.

Test fasting in morning. Then, before you eat breakfast, lunch dinner. Test random 3 hours after a meal. A1c would mean your sugars are around 170-200 average.
