Hi****I have been using the glucolab for about 5 weeks now, it's nice and simple which is what I like. Had trouble getting the strips to begin with but pharmacy keeps a stock for me now.

Is there a reason they're doing this? If you like your current one and the new one isn't much better in some way I'd stick with the old.

Cost cutting by the NHS, once they give you the new meter they will not give you test strips for any other, you would have to buy your own if you want to use a different device.

Have also heard that T2's not on insulin are being told they don't need to test anymore and will not be given meters, strips etc. as usual it's the old postcode lottery. All about where u live.

I was reading somewhere about a guy in Canada who pays a $#### a month to cover his insulin and supplies etc. he just about covers rent and food. We in the UK are very lucky generally.
