Hi everyone :) does anyone else find their sugar levels drop more now the weather is warmer / hotter ??
Staten Island, NY
Believe it or not your more active in the summer. My daughter can play outside for ten minutes and go low. Your body is used to reserving energy to keep warm, try carrying a small snack like nuts
Mine does or they get pushed up just have to do regular blood tests
West Bloomfield Township, MI
Mine have been lately but I'm just a mess, lol. I thinks it's for a couple of reasons. The weather is nicer so we get out more. ( less sitting at home grazing and more exercise. )
Living with type 2 diabetes since 2013.
Mine have fallen - although I've been adjusting my insulin dose up over the last week - I'll be keeping an eye on them in case they get too low.
Werrington County, AUS
It's getting colder here in Australia. But yes, my sugars go up in winter because you eat to keep fat stores in winter for warmth
Dodge City, KS
Mine go high instead :(
with type 1 diabetes since 2013.
In warm weather my son's bs drops dramatically.
when the summer starts you get hot/swetty so heat and sweat is a form of carb burning so yes u will suffer a drematic decreese in ur bloods.

It seems to me that there are support communities and organizations for kids with T1 diabetes, college kids with T1 D, and their parents. Do adults with T1 D not need support?
So i just got a cgm and love it but i was wondering if there is anything i can do to reduce post meal spikes. Ive tried giving insulin 15-60 min before a meal, but still does not help. Any suggestions
My husbands birthday is coming up and we are going for dinner then he and our friends may venture elsewhere. My question is if you go out how do you explain the diabetes kit? Do bouncers even care? (Needles, lancets etc)
