Is in not covered under warranty, I think the warranty is about 4 years, here in Australia if you have insurance we get a new one every 4 years.

We've called them countless times now and they won't cover it under warranty is very annoying to try and deal with them

I just seen someone posting about having an extra pump.....scroll thru the news feed and see if you can get it. :)

Try calling Medtronic.

They can replace it. They did mine

If you are out of warranty Medtronic will try to troubleshoot but will not replace unless you or your insurance pays for it. Does he have a back-up plan in place? He needs to take shots of insulin until his pump is up and running

Medtronic should replace it if under warranty and if it's out of warranty it should be time to get a new one through insurance if you still have coverage. If still under warranty I would be firm w Medtronics until they replaced it. I've always had nothing but positive experiences with them. Speak w a supervisor if you have too!! Best wishes!!
