I saw my endo yesterday and he told me that Louisiana Medicaid won't cover a pump unless you're type 1.So unless I have 5,000 dollars which I don't btw is there anyway I can get one?help

What endo do you see ? Im in Slidell. I heard they can overturn that by writing letters etc .....

Type 2 diabetics don't need a pump because try still make insulin.

Fight them! Lol the first time I tried getting a pump (I'm type 1 btw) they said it "wasn't necessary" so my endo just told them straight up, she needs the pump!

With labs showing u arent in control with traditional type 2 treatment, effects of long term DM it may work. I sure would try :)
