I've been a type 2 for about 20 years. I'm constantly trying to lose. Insulin works against us, portion control is all but impossible in a world that's normal portions are at least triple what you need, you have to balance what you need to eat to keep your glucose levels reasonable, while fighting all the food cravings, it's a constant balancing act. Keep the faith, work on portions, juice if possible, keep the peanut butter handy for a boost of protein that won't spike your glucose and drink lots of fluids, water's best, soda's are not so good, even the SF kinds. We'll get through in the long run, so hang in there.
