where people touched by diabetes help each other.

Okay diabetics or parents of diabetics :) what are some of the craziest things you've been asked or told about diabetes? Mine would be being accused of doing drugs while doing an injection and being told I couldn't do a glucose check because it was a "blood born" issue lol

One day, I was in a conference call in my office when they asked all of us to evacuate the building because someone "thought" there was a fire somewhere in the building. They transferred everyone into another building and put me in someone else's office to finish my call. It was almost lunch time. Time to take my insulin shot. I discreetly injected my 2 units of Novolog and DONE! It was on a Friday. When I got back to work the following Monday, I was called into My Sup's office ( because a co-worker saw me doing it) to be told that next time I HAVE to go into a closet in the basement to take my shots. The reason? They had to "sanitize" the whole office to make sure no one catches "what I had". Dear friends, I am still on the floor laughing!
