I've been a diabetic for 13 years now I was only 2 when I got it now I am fifteen and barely check my blood sugar , is it harder for you younger and older people to check your blood sugars ?

I'm 17 and got it when I was 11. I rarely ever check my blood sugar, it's hard when being a teenager.

u ryt it is hard at first but dont let it get the better of u, just watch what u eat and you have to check blood regularly and eat according to that.

i was exactly like you at first but like i said 2 years no medicine, the docs are very happy with my progress, i rarely do any excercise i just hav a very strict diet!!!!!!

You gotta test and make sure you're taking your insulin hun. I've never taken charge of mine until this year and in only 31 and am starting to get problems

My philosophy was to always start tomorrow (cause my sugars are lower then) then I'd forget and try again the next day. Next thing you know, it's a month, a year, a decade!!

I've had t1 for 40 years & I check it more now than I ever have. When i was young I use to pee in a cup & dip a strip & then match it to a color. I did it between classes at school. It was not fun.
