Diabetes community: has anyone switched from Humalog to Novolog and noticed any difference/bad side effects? About to switch. thx #diabetes

It was taking double the amount of levimir to do what Lantus was ?! I don’t know why. ? Switched back to Lantus. 90 units of Lantus Got to 150 of levmir before dr said no way. Switch back

Humalog works better for me. It seems more potent somehow.

You have to realize that everybody is not the same. Their bodies react differently to different insulin’s. When I was first diagnosed, all I had available was long acting pig insulin. That was bad for some people because their body rejected the insulin. That’s real bad.

****I ( thankfully ) missed that horror show. 😱. Insurance co has just insisted I switch from my long term friend lantus to Basaglar. Haven’t started it yet. I am not looking forward to change and poor # ‘s associated with change. I understand the price of lettuce is out rages. But still do not like change.

That’s frustrating. I am sorry the insurance company controls things like that.

I can make it fine on novolog. I have to take a little more is only difference

I have had to switch back and forth at times due to different insurance company policies

Humalog seems to peak quicker than novolog to me too.
