Can having a 7 Day worth of good reading lower an A1c by any amount I have been having some complications my A1c went from a 6.5 to a 7.1 and in trying to figure out how A1c calculations are based on.

A1C is your average blood sugar for the last 16 weeks. 6.5 and under is basically people without diabetes.

A1C calculations are based on how much sugar is bound to your red blood cells and since red blood cells are reproduced about every 3 months that's why they take the A1C that often too. this chart shows you what your average blood sugar is based on your A1C

Actually 7 days can affect it. You can even get way different readings just a few minutes between. It's just to give you an idea of how you're doing. An A1c is just one piece of the puzzle. It helps to look at everything on the whole.
