where people touched by diabetes help each other.

Hi, my daughter was diagnosed 4 years ago at the age of 9 with Type 1 diabetes. Do any parents out there start feeling helpless and frustrated at times?

Hi**** I can't imagine being diagnosed at 16 months, that has to be very hard. You are absolutely correct that there are no 2 days the same.

To fluctuate and when it does she has concentration issues. It's also horrible because they are starting/going thru puberty and that causes sugar levels to go crazy.

If your insurance will let you, get the Dexcom Share CGM-continuous glucose monitor. It will help you track her blood sugar and adjust her insulin & eating as needed. Testing your blood sugar just gives you a number - a CGM tells you what it's doing ( rising or falling) and you can see it on your smartphone with an app.
