where people touched by diabetes help each other.

Curious if other parents can tell when their T1d kids are low. My daughter has been in the mid 50s a couple of times, but exhibits no symptoms. How low do you get before you get "weird?"

My son who has had t1d since he was 2.5 is now 13 and does not feel the lows, and has fell over while walking before. Our daughter is 8 with t1d for a year now, can tell us when she hits the low 80s.

Thanks,**** Has your son always been unable to feel the lows? (Even when younger, at...say...4 or 5 years of age? ).

Yes, he was playing at McDonalds when he was 4 we tested him and he was 29, but we couldn't tell, he acted like he always did. Scared us to death. We were very cautious after that.

Hi**** in the us we use mg/dl and the "normal" range (for non diabetics) is 70 - 140. Elsewhere the units are mmol/l. A range of 2-4 is 36 - 72... In the low range.
