Does anyone else crave milk when they're high?! Even before dx I remember drinking SO much milk. Still do when bg is high. #gbdoc
Yes milk raises your blood sugar . When your high your body relates itself to the milk you drink when your low. P
Not good when you are high.
Try vanilla unsweetened almond milk. Has only 2g of carbs per serving. It takes a little while to get used to though. Does not really taste like milk but is a better substitute.

Is anyone on an insulin pump and using novolog insulin? I'm currently using apidra insulin in my pump but now my insurance decided not to cover it anymore so now I need to switch FAST. My insurance covers novolog so I was wondering if this insulin is any good? Has anyone had any problems with it?
I currently ran out of ketone strips and can not get to any at the moment. Can I just use my actual blood sugar meter and just dip a strip into (tmi) urine? Need advice here! I'm high and feel sick!
Vomitting.extreme nause. Large ketones. Fruity/acetone breath. Mom won't call doc, thinks it's my fault. Haven't eaten besides some steak and water for 2 days. Pee a lot and lost about 7 pounds. Help
