Does anybody use continuous glucose monitoring? I ask as Diabetes UK has sent an email suggesting this with regard to driving.

It's now a requirement in Ireland , to test before you drive and if below 4 , you must take food and retest abt 49mins later before you drive .

Is there a machine that tests your glucose continuously? I'm really interested. Yes I know what you mean****they are soooo strict with us type 1's and driving! Idk why give us a break!

Yeah I agree with****is there such a machine that continuously checks your sugars! It would be fab!

The Dexcom g4 CGM is awesome! My son has had it for 1 year. It really helps to catch the highs and lows before they get so bad. I recommend it to everyone who is insulin dependent!!! Driving with type 1 diabetes can be dangerous. If your blood sugar is low you can pass out at the wheel and pose a threat to yourself and others. Please be extra careful while driving.
