CGM Question: I just got dexcomG4 yesterday. Everything seems to be working well. I just noticed there is a little blood under the tape. Is this normal? Should I take it off and switch location?

I have never noticed blood under mine. You probably just hit a small vessel. I would manually test a couple test times, if the machine and CGM are consistent and you have no discomf I would leave it!

I didn't notice the blood yesterday. I am wondering if I slept on it wrong last night. It feels fine. And my numbers are pretty consistent when I check. I have it in my arm.

You might have slept on it wrong! I wouldn't worry about it!

Cool. I don't want to start over again. I know it gets more accurate the longer it is on.

Yes. I did read that, but for various reasons I decided to place it on my arm after reading many people successfully use it there.

We use it on my son's arms exclusively... It works great there and a little bit of blood is fine. :). If you ever feel that you need help putting it on your arms by yourself, Diabetic Danica has a tutorial for that on YouTube.

**** Diabetic Danica is one of the reasons I use my arm and the fact that I do all of my injections in my stomach. Plus I'm always holding my kids so they are rubbing and tugging at my stomach.
