where people touched by diabetes help each other.

I am T1 and celiac. When I eat gluten free pizza I have no clue how to carb count it. Any guesses? Tonight I must have guessed too low, but in the past I think I've guessed to high.

I order it from a takeout place that I order the rest of the family pizza from. So it's not a boxed pizza that I can just count from.

I would count it as regular pizza, i dont believe it has less carbs since its probely made out of potato flour or something... And dont forget the "pizza effect"

So what do you count a small slice as? I am new at this and just started using a pump. My numbers are higher than they were when I just injected. Feeling discouraged with it.

Keep preserving with the pump

Get app or book on carb counting. On app or book will give you the carb # on most foods and foods at a lot of restaurants. Am not sure if you have a set of numbers for carb to insulin ratios etc

My son has T1D and celiac too. We use the calorie king app and just search gluten free pepperoni pizza. Depending on the type of pump you have, you might be able to split your insulin.

We haven't found a dosing regimen that hasn't caused outrageous blood sugars yet. We actually try to avoid it. And the GF pizzas seem to be worse for his BG than when he didn't have celiac. :(

1/6 of a GF pepperoni pizza from Godfathers (10") or dominos (doesn't say size on app) is 10grams
