How do u do carb counting n insulin any info or pointers as my hb1c is 140 n really want to start by getting my diabetes under control badly please help

Hey**** Start by going to your Dr. They will check your levels and refer you to a dietitian too. Carb counting was the best thing for my diabetes! In short, you have your long acting insulin

Which keeps your base levels at a constant rate (can vary with insulins) then you bolus for whatever carbs you eat. So for me (because I'm pumping) I take 1 unit of insulin per exchange

(Or portion of carbs - around 15-20g) then depending on my levels, I may need a correction dose to get my levels down (I'm currently 1 unit to bring me down 4.5 mmols)

That really depends - are u wanting to count your carbs or is it related to your insulin dose??

First I'd see dr & dietician and get their recommendations. As there are several ways of carb counting. There are carb counting books at book stores - for example I use calorie king.
