where people touched by diabetes help each other.

My brother has pump training on Wednesday! I'm an Animas user, he has a Medtronic, any advice? Been pumping for 14 years, hard to remember being a newbie.

be prepared fir little hiccups...test more often then normal until settings are figured out, watch the instructional videos more then once...have backup plan in place in case of pump faluire...figure out where pump goes when sitting on toilet. ..probably lots more lol

I've had many hiccups with my pump, I will have to remind him that it's not the end of the world. I'm more worried about the differences between our pumps, but I'll post when something comes up.

They gave him quick sets but we can't get a quick-serter for it. I'm trying to find him one if anyone has a spare. We are going to see about trading our 2 boxes for mios.
