where people touched by diabetes help each other.

I'm new to T2D. Does blood sugar go up in the sun? When I'm outside too long, I get lethargic, kinda sick feeling, etc. I checked my bs today when it happened and was 228, which is way high for me. Obviously , too much sun isn't good for anyone. But does sun cause spikes or Is this coincidence?

I haven't noticed bs highs due to the sun yet.

Stress raises blood sugars.

They say extreme heat, like when you go take a hot bath, kills the insulin in your body. That's why you have to stay as hydrated as possible and test often in the summer.

The humidity causes my sugar levels to go up. If it's hot without humidity, it doesn't bother me as much.

I also get sick in the sun , I use to be in the sunshine all the time , loved it , but now the heat from the sun sickens me , I always have water with me that helps some.

You must!! Drink a lot of water when out in the sun! Us diabetics get dehydrated easier and without water you'll feel sick and also water helps get your blood sugar down when high, and if your blood sugar is good water will help it stay good.
