where people touched by diabetes help each other.

Hi all, I'm new but was looking a bit of support really! I'm 25 now & been getting pretty down with the idea I will be injecting for the rest of my life!! Am I the only one who thinks like this?

there isn't any reason to cry. I'm just a type 2. But when I found out I was. I was told later in life I would have to. It got me down. But I told myself there isn't any reason to be down. we are all put on the earth for a reason.

insulin pumps are great. you change infusion sites every 3 days. so daily injections are eliminated. a lot better glucose control also

Thank you both so much just known I'm not alone in this makes it easier! I'll speak to someone about an insulin pump and see what can be done. Are they sore or complicated?

the first few months take some getting used to bc you have to calculate your carbohydrate intake at each meal. easy to do when you are home and you measure everything and read the ingredient label. more difficult to do when you are out at a restaurant. however, once you get used to it, its second nature

I'm already counting carbs with everything I eat so that should make it easier. I'll see if I can speak to someone about it. Thanks for your help****
